Hold on to your personalized water bottles and book your spray tans, because we’re about to get front row daily seats to the reality TV gift that keeps on giving. The hugely popular British dating show Love Island is landing in Canada this summer, exclusively landing at CTV. That’s right, all summer long we’ll get to root for bathing suit-clad singles as they try to navigate dating in a fishbowl and fight amongst themselves to form alliances and couple up multiple nights a week.

If you’re not familiar with the delightfully cringy dating show, Love Island is like a cross between Big Brother and Bachelor in Paradise, where young singles live in a gorgeous villa and try to find true love—or just someone to partner up with so they can make it to the next week. The multi-night dating competition involves hilarious challenges, big twists, audience participation and so. much. drama. At the end of the season, one couple is chosen as the viewers’ favourite and wins a cash prize (and true love OF COURSE).

Love Island series 4 winners Jack and Dani
LOVE ISLAND Series 4 (U.K.) winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer

The U.K. version started in 2015 and has become a worldwide phenomenon since then (seriously, with a premise like that, how could it not?) with international versions launching to the same feverish reception in Australia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and now in our fair land.

Love Island will join CTV’s lineup of must-watch summer reality shows including The Amazing Race Canada and Masterchef Canada—making a case to stay in during the warm-weather months.

Bring on the drama!
