Butt plugs made an appearance during Paris Fashion Week, opening up a whole debate about accessories.

The designer in question, Walter Van Beirendonck, is a member of the famed Antwerp Six, and he’s known for his avant garde designs and flair for the dramatic. For his latest collection, he explored terrorism and censorship, and for the latter, he produced a collection of butt plug accouterments.

The reason for this, um, delicate statement, is the artist Paul McCarthy’s public art Tree (2014)which was vandalized in Paris because it resembled an oversized butt plug.

Beirendonck’s message was far from subtle, but there’s something inherently fun and wearable about these accessories. Would you wear them? Butt before you answer, take a look at the designs first.
