Camila Cabello defends her online PDA with Shawn Mendes

Earlier this week, Camila Cabello was on BBC Radio 1 where she was interviewed by Greg James about all kinds of things — including her thievery at Kensington Palace. But things really got interesting when it was time to take calls from listeners.The Breakfast with Greg James segment is called Unpopular Opinion and the caller, Cat, had a simple statement: "Public displays of affection on Instagram are too much." Greg gasped while Camila simply said, "Ouch." The singer continued, "Well, I feel personally targeted. I feel personally attacked," and then got her sarcasm on. "Yeah, PDA is terrible. Kissing in public? I don't even ..." Cat added that she doesn't even like when people post "I love yous" to their partners which Cabello actually agreed with. "I get that. I actually agree with that. I've never really done that."After James pointed out how people are always trying to take photos and videos of her and boyfriend Shawn Mendes all the time, Cabello explained that because of all the attention they get, she's no longer shy about showing her love for Mendes in front of everyone. "You honestly get kind of desensitized to it. You're like, 'Well, might as well just make out on Instagram!'"

And that they do. Whether they're locking lips on stage performing "Señorita," or clapping back at trolls who made fun of their fish-style kissing by "really" showing how they get 'er done behind closed doors, Camila and Shawn don't mind displaying their affection for all to see.

And for those who still think Shawmila is just a farce and that the singers are simply trying to keep their hit song on the charts and playing on radio stations around the world for as long as possible, this should change your minds. When another unpopular opinion was raised by a fan regarding Mendes' clothing choices, Cabello was both caught off-guard, swoon-y and defensive of her man, all in under 30 seconds.Josh's complaint was simple: "Shawn Mendes should wear more long-sleeved tops," to which Camila gasped and admitted, "her heart skipped" upon hearing her boyfriend's name. But that's when she defended Shawn's right to bare arms. "Have you seen the arms? I mean, they're pretty great," she told Josh.

They are pretty damn great, we can all agree on that. Nice of Josh to care, though. If Shawn does get a little chilly, no worries. Camila will happily warm him up. Maybe even in public.
