Camila Cabello gets her first tattoo, with Shawn Mendes by her side

In the world of relationships—especially the celebrity kind—nothing solidifies a romantic bond quite like the decision to get matching tattoos. And while Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello didn’t get matching ink… they did get tattoos together on Monday, and that has to count for something, right?After the cozying up at the Clippers vs. Raptors game on Monday in LA, Mendes and Cabello headed over to West Hollywood on Tuesday to get some new ink by tattoo artist Kane Navasard.

Mendes opted for a small and simple piece: a delicate letter “A” behind his ear, dedicated to his 16 year-old sister, Aaliyah. For fans already swooning over Shawn, the sweet and spontaneous family tribute is sure to add fuel to the fire. But hey, our girl Camila already called dibs—and Mendes wasn’t the only one to leave the studio with fresh ink.For her first tattoo ever, Cabello opted for a reference to the 1998 movie Shakespeare In Love: the phrase “it’s a mystery," written in cursive on the inside of her pinky finger, and shared by Navasard on his Instagram Story.
