Camila Cabello sang about "Consequences" last year — and now she's dealing with them. The "Senorita" singer admitted in a new interview that she stole something from the British Royal Family, and Prince William and Duchess Kate's response was absolutely brilliant.During an interview with BBC Radio 1, she and host Greg James recounted a recent trip they both took to Kensington Palace. They were there to celebrate the Teen Hero Awards finalists, so it was all on the up and up — until Greg dared notorious good girl Camila, who was attending the event with her mother, to do something not-so-good: swipe a little souvenir. "We're in Kensington Palace for the Teen Heroes," James began. "We're about to meet William and Kate, and I said, 'You've got to steal something. Steal something!' And I said, 'Steal that pencil.'" Cabello continued, "I was like, 'You triple doggy dare me?' ... And you can't not do a triple doggy dare. If there's anything I’ve learned in my life, it's that. So, I did it."But then James, being the poop disturber that he is, went and told a palace staffer what she had done. "I was like, 'Oh, my God.' And I put it in my mom's purse, and my mom was like, 'No, we have to give it back. We have to give back the pencil.' And I was like, 'No, he triple doggy dared me. I have to take the pencil.'" Cabello kept the pencil, and everyone lived to tell the tale. The main takeaways? A triple dog dare is no joke, and Cabello is a bit of a bad ass — she kept that precious pencil, and she's proud of it. But being the sweetheart that she is, she was apologetic. "I'm sorry, William, and I'm sorry, Kate," she said. "I honestly couldn't sleep last night. I had to get it off my chest." But the Cambridges also had something to get off their chests. They were willing to overlook stolen pencil-gate, but they wanted to let the former Fifth Harmony member know that they know — and that they're watching. Kensington Palace has definitely stepped up its Twitter game, because that response is very un-palace-like. But we like it. More royal reactions like this, please. And it's safe to say their fans loved it too. Though some were a little worried about Cabello's fate. Hey, it could've been worse. Camila could've stolen a framed family pic, or tossed a tiara in her mom's bag. A pencil is barely a blip — though the Cambridges might want to step up security next time Cabello is around.[video_embed id='1842676']Will Queen Elizabeth retire soon?[/video_embed]
