You know how everything comes back around, from acid-wash jeans to scrunchies to bodysuits to chokers? Well, bet you didn’t think the dress Julia Roberts wore at the beginning of Pretty Woman was going to make a comeback. But it has. The iconic dress — which Vivian Ward famously wears in that Rodeo Drive scene — is now available to buy.
Thigh-high boots and bad wig not included.
ASOS teamed up with Hunza G, the brand that created the dress for the movie back in 1990, to create an almost exact replica of the dress. The white tank and silver rings connecting the top and bottom are still there, as is the body-conscious fit, but the tie-dye-ness of the skirt is no longer (thank you, fashion gods). In its place is a white and black version though according to Hunza G’s Instagram, it’s also available in red and royal blue.
Hunza G, which started out in London in 1984 under the direction of Peter Meadows, is now run by Georgiana Huddart, who is maintaining the brand’s unique crinkle-stretch fabric but updating it with a sportier aesthetic.
The Crinkle Iconic Mini Beach Dress — which, unless it’s in South Beach, seems more fitting for a club than the beach because those would be some crazy tan lines — is priced at $215 USD and can be purchased online, exclusively at ASOS. That way you can avoid any salespeople who might have something bitchy to say.
