A piece of the British monarchy is now available for sale in Toronto, and for a price anyone—ok, not really anyone—can afford. The Toronto home of Meghan Markle, former Suits actor and future wife to Prince Harry, is now on the market. Markle vacated the rental earlier this year to move to her new address down the street from Buckingham Palace. Started from the Six, now we here.
The home is currently owned by married couple Elizabeth Cabral and Kevin O’Neill, who are possibly hoping for a bidding war on their recently renovated detached home located at 10 Yarmouth Road in Seaton Village. If there was ever a moment to capitalize on owning the home of a future Duchess, that also hosted a Prince, the months leading up to the wedding are definitely prime selling time.
Markle rented the home while she was a main cast member on the TV drama Suits, which shot in Toronto. The couple who own the three bedroom, two bathroom , two-story home are now selling it and giving us a glimpse into the place where Meghan and Harry spent much of their time at the beginning of their relationship.
This could be the bathroom where Markle got ready for the couple’s first date.
Here’s the master bedroom, where we assume the couple had very philanthropic and high brow pillow talk, like discussing their favourite charitable moments from the past week.
Here’s the all-white kitchen where Harry likely tried to woo Meghan with his signature beans on toast recipe and she pretended to love it.
Here’s the two-person breakfast nook where we assume they ate hard-boiled eggs and drank tea for their first meal of the day (at least that’s what the royals eat on The Crown).
Here’s the open concept dining and living room, where the couple likely relaxed and caught up on past issues of Hello! Canada.
There’s the guest room, which probably used to be occupied by Meghan’s mother when she visited from LA, but with Harry in town it was likely taken over by the royal body guards.
Then of course there is the quaint backyard. Sorry, we mean garden.
So, what would we change about the house if we bought it for the asking price of $1.395 million? Exactly nothing. There is still a chance that Harry and Meghan’s relationship ghosts could be floating around the home. We’ll add two extra chairs at tea time for them just in case.
