Whether you’re an avid Instagrammer or not, it might be a good idea to start posting your most adventurous photos online for the entire world to admire. Especially now that Royal Caribbean Cruises is launching an Instagram contest with one heck of a prize list.
The cruise line is officially looking for the world’s most adventurous squad. Starting March 29 and running until April 12, Royal Caribbean Cruises will conduct five separate challenges, each lasting for 72 hours. The challenges will require people to post photos that follow a specific adventure-related theme announced by the cruise line.
Each uploaded photo must also include #AdventureSquad, #Contest as well as @RoyalCaribbean. Participants can tag up to three friends per contest image to represent your squad and submit a picture for all five of the challenges to increase the chance of winning.
The first challenge, which launched March 29, is all about “thrills and chills,” and encourages entrants to upload an image, GIF or Boomerang to their Instagram pages that “is not another sunset picture. This is your heart racing, pulse pumping, mind blowing moment.”
Future challenges will include the “Hidden Gems Challenge,” “Epic Eats Challenge,” “Culture Capture Challenge” and “Air, Land and Sea Challenge.”
Royal Caribbean will select one winner for each of the five challenges who will receive a free cruise aboard the Harmony of the Seas ship with their entire squad. The five winning squads will then participate in a grand prize challenge on the cruise, with a grand prize of three seven-night cruises anywhere the Royal Caribbean sails as well as $14,175 USD (about $18,937 CAD) in prize money.
Royal Caribbean offers cruises in Alaska, Asia, Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, Europe, as well as Canada, so the sky’s the limit. And even if you don’t get the grand prize, the Harmony of the Seas ship includes a zip line, Ferris wheel, skating rink, wave pool, three different entertainment stages and a whole slew of drool-worthy restaurants.
Pack your flip flops and buffet pants, because it’s time for a cruise.
