Today at the Golden Globes nomination ceremony, America Fererra (left), Angela Bassett and Chloe Grace Moretz (both not photographed) took part in reading the nominees. Gina Rodriguez (right) was not in attendance, but she definitely won a Golden Globe at this year’s ceremony. It’s important to note that she wasn’t there at the nomination ceremony this morning, because the Golden Globes was certain she was. On stage. Even though it was absolutely, 100 per cent America Ferrera. See below:
The phrase you had one job certainly comes to mind, but we can totally understand a slip of the tongue (or in this case, a tweet). So we thought we’d investigate this a little bit. Is America Ferrera so unrecognizable that she could be confused for other people? Let’s see.
Level One: Can you pick out America Ferrera from this lineup?
If you guessed right, you’re wrong. America is on the left. And you should possibly get your eyes checked. That was also the easy round, so prepare for things to get very difficult.
Level Two: Which one is America Ferrera?
We told you it was going to get difficult. How could you possibly differentiate these two? Either of them could be America Ferrera! Except they’re both not her. On the left we have Golden Globe winner and Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez, and on the right is a child with a melting ice cream cone. Moving on.
Level Three: SUPER-HARD SPOT-THE-AMERICA FERRERA CHALLENGE
We’ll give you a second with this puzzler! Ding, ding, ding! Time is up. Did you pick America Ferrera? Hopefully not, because on the left we have Rosie Perez, star of the 1994 hit It Could Happen to You, while on the right that’s quite clearly Charo, superstar of screen and stage.
So, just to recap: America Ferrera read the names of nominees this morning at the Golden Globes nomination ceremony; and Gina Rodriguez won a Golden Globe this year, but was not at the event this morning. Also, America Ferrera is not a jar of preserves, but we imagine she’s just as sweet.
