Canada has a new national hero, and Canadians are kind of freaking out. On Saturday, a house in Langley, B.C. caught fire with a number of pets inside, including three kittens. Over three hours, firefighters put out the blaze and were able to save most of the many pets. The kittens are of particular interest because of the man who saved them.

We don’t know his name, but his service to this country will not soon be forgotten. This firefighter saved the kittens and administered oxygen to them with tiny kitten-sized breathing masks. And he did it all with his jacket unzipped, so naturally, the internet is going gaga for this guy. We can’t blame them.

Just look at him. He’s definitely the firefighter you want to respond to your 911 call. Somebody contact Chicago Fire, because this guy deserves a spot on the show.
How many marriage proposals you think he’s received today? 😍 https://t.co/DM2Vhb1ZoW

He’s just adorable and it doesn’t hurt that he’s holding and nursing a gaggle of kittens. So basically, all of Canada is collectively swooning over this guy.
Keep up the good work, Shirtless Firefighter, you’re the hero Canada needs and we thank you for your service.
