Canadians have spent 152 years earning the title of “the nicest people on earth” and after less than 48 hours on Love Island (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV), Canadian Eric has ruined our reputation. This isn’t Friend Island and Canadian Eric isn’t here to make friends. He’s here to find love, eh?
Canadian Eric came in hot and is looking for love and not friendship, which we didn’t know had to be mutually exclusive. The very direct Canadian will pick up a girl anytime, even if she’s in church or with her family. (His words.) He’s a hunter. (His words). He doesn’t think Kyra is happy with Cashel. (His words.) We don’t know how we feel about the whole church thing (actually we do), but yeah, we agree with him on Kyra’s happiness.
We’re going to assume Yamen was suffering from some residual shock after that belly flop he did into the pool because that’s the only reason we can come up with to explain why he told Caro that she was Canadian Eric’s second choice for a date after Kyra. No-men.
THE LOVE TRIANGLE
Weston went from no girls liking him to being in a love triangle right out of a YA novel with Kelsey and Katrina. The glow up is real (and possibly more impressive than Cashel’s). He says he’s equally interested in both women, but it seems like he wants Katrina to prove her feelings by being more affectionate. We’re putting it in a nice way, because we’re Canadian. We miss pre-triangle Weston.
THAT AWKWARD MOMENT
We thought Weston summarizing the non-Jenga truth or dare game by saying “some people had a great pull out game, some didn’t” was the cringiest moment of the night, but it may have been the toe sucking. Yeah, there was toe-sucking.
WHO IS LUKE BRYAN?
WHO WE’RE SHIPPING
Winston and Marli have nothing in common but we like having Winston around as the voice of reason and therefore we would like to see him find love.
Did we miss the part where there was fallout over Zac not declaring his relationship status with Elizabeth to the new girls?
