When Canadian war veteran Napoleon Montsion met Celine Dion for the first time, she was only 15 years old and working at a Chrysler dealership.
But it was a moment the 92-year-old never forgot.
“She was always singing and getting better all the time. We knew she was going to go places because her voice was so good,” Montsion said.
Needless to say, he was right.
That’s why, when the widower and decorated Second World War veteran was contacted by Wish of a Lifetime–a U.S. charity that grants wishes for seniors living in isolation–he knew exactly what he wanted most: a reunion with the girl he can’t forget.
“I will put my best suit on to meet her for sure, that will be something. I never thought that one day I will be meeting her in person,” he said.
Montsion is the first Canadian to have his wish granted by the charity. To see his big, heartwarming reunion with Dion, check out the video above.
