KFC is determined to take its fried chicken to a place that’ll spark a lot of debate. Their latest invention, for instance, will certainly satisfy those who enjoy a good food mashup and are willing to try anything. But for anyone who isn’t a fan of quirky food combos, prepare yourself to be completely horrified.

The chizza is a slab of fried chicken, which is then slathered with pizza sauce, topped with ham, pineapples and mozzarella, finished off with KFC cheese sauce (it looks like the melted goo you get on your nachos at the movies), baked, and ready for you to enjoy.

“We’re always looking to introduce delicious new products to our menu, and are really excited about the incredible response Chizza has received around the world,” said a spokesperson of KFC Singapore. “Keep your eyes peeled!”

It’s probably delicious (maybe if you leave out the pineapple, at least), but if we’re going to look at this from a technical point of view, this is merely a twist on a chicken parm, not pizza. That said, is this caloric explosion something our arteries really need?

KFC is selling it as “all chicken, no crust,” so there isn’t the traditional carb-filled pizza dough you need to worry about. But you’ll basically be swapping out those greasy carbs for even greasier fried chicken. And yet, we’d probably try it in a heartbeat.

The chizza is currently available in the Philippines, India and Singapore, and although KFC has yet to mention whether it’ll hit the North American market any time soon, we can’t imagine it wouldn’t find a way overseas.
