Do you think Cara Delevingne can make it to our dinner party later? Because we’re putting together a charcuterie board and would love to display it on a cheese-themed plate like the one she’s wearing. Oops, nope, that’s actually a jumpsuit.
Attending the 2nd Annual Girl Up #GirlHero Awards in Beverly Hills, you might think Cara would don something a little ritzier than holey denim but apparently not. We expect her to push style boundaries—it’s kinda her thing—but Halloween isn’t for another couple weeks so there’s no excuse for dressing like a block of Swiss cheese.
Cara wasn’t the only celeb who stepped out looking a little curdled this week. Browse the gallery below for a glimpse of her head-to-toe getup, along with other head-shaking wardrobe choices by Julianne Hough, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes and more in this edition of Worst Looks of the Week.
Cara Delevingne tries to make Swiss cheese a fashion thing
Debby RyanUnfortunately, Debby is not playing a safari guide in the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie, so we cannot blame this outfit choice on “getting into character.” Love the shoes, but paired with something less fitting for a trek through the tropical rain forest.Getty Images
Patrick SchwarzeneggerLeather jackets and loafers go great together, but the pairing somewhat loses its appeal when shorts get involved. Schwarzenegger Junior would have been better off if he wore a pair of cropped trousers.Getty Images
Julianne HoughYou can cancel Julianne’s Uber, because she’s clearly able to fly herself home with those sleeves. Tummy to toe, we’re digging this look, but maybe try a short flutter sleeve next time as opposed to full-on wings. Getty Images
Cara DelevingneThere are definitely a few upsides to a jumpsuit like this. Overheating shouldn’t be an issue as there’s plenty of air circulation. Also, if she gets itchy pretty much anywhere on her body, scratching is no problem. The only real downside is the way it looks. Getty Images
AwkwafinaAwkwafina, this outfit is AWKward. Repping the colours of a popular tire brand, this collared shirt-dress just doesn’t fit with those transparent stiletto heels. We think that dress would be best left with the Michelin Man and those shoes with a bright solid, or a different patterned piece.Getty Images
Natasha LyonneUm, is Natasha in the right place? Because she’s dressed more appropriately for The Addams Family premiere than Variety's 2019 Power Of Women event. If she had skipped the black on black and opted for a bold trouser suit instead, Natasha could have truly put the POW in Power.Getty Images
Bebe RexhaThis leather getup is jaw-dropping for all of the wrong reasons. Being on the Billboard Hot 100 list, you’d think Bebe would have stepped out in a hotter set of shoes than those oversized snakeskin slouch boots. Getty Images
Heidi MontagHeidi has not come a long way in the fashion department since she first starred on The Hills in 2006. Here, she looks like Britney Spears was covered in adhesive and dipped into Paris Hilton’s closet. Instead of attending a celebration for Marriage Boot Camp, maybe she should try a fashion boot camp.Getty Images
Corey FeldmanIt’s normal to question people who wear sunglasses at night or inside—people like Corey Feldman. In this case, however, maybe we should be thanking him for wearing sunnies as it takes the attention away from his dated snakeskin bomber jacket and tiger tee.Getty Images
Emmy RossumWhat could have been a simple floral dress has turned into something that looks more like drapery. The whole thing comes across as a little, well, drab. Sorry Emmy, you’re not our style crush this week.Getty Images
Annabelle WallisThe matching lipstick and nail polish has Annabelle looking so put together, but the attention to detail then begs the question: did she forget her suit jacket or did she come straight from her tap recital? There are so many ways to rock a pantsuit, but maybe attempt it sans spandex and plus blazer.Getty Images
Queen LatifahNobody wants to steal this complete outfit, but maybe bits of it. Thing is, the shirt and shoes are both fab, but just not together.Getty Images
Jamie ChungAs a coveted fashion blogger and regular in magazines’ style sections, Jamie has to make some out-there choices. But this number she wore to a recent screening must have been selected before her first mug of coffee. Her bustier-style cups (look closely) are oversized and unflattering. Getty Images
Scarlett JohanssonCrop pants, check. Flared bottoms, check. Ideal outfit for a 60s theme party? We think so. ScarJo, that shade of pink is everything on you, and those strappy heels give us heart-eyes, but your two-piece Mad Men getup should have been left with the costume department.Getty Images
Sasha PieterseWe love a cute red dress and this colour is exactly what we envision when we think about one. Unfortunately, it seems Sasha’s never heard the expression “too much of a good thing” or at least didn’t have it in mind when she was selecting this outfit. The colour is divine but there’s just a bit too much of it.Getty Images
