New Dancing With the Stars host and producer Tyra Banks has promised some big changes to the show when it debuts this fall, but what she didn’t reveal was that it would feature a killer cast. In what is probably the most 2020 casting news ever, the competition series has officially confirmed that Tiger King star Carole Baskin will indeed be one of the new contestants.Rumours that Baskin was joining the cast have been floating around for a while now, but they weren’t confirmed until the official contestant lineup was unveiled on September 2. Baskin, the owner of Big Cat Rescue, shot to fame earlier this year when everyone seemed to be obsessed with Tiger King. (Remember the Tiger King days of quarantine, aka what seems like four years ago now?) In the documentary, Baskin was accused of being responsible for the death of her husband Jack “Don” Lewis. The millionaire disappeared in 1997 and was declared dead in 2002. Baskin has denied she was involved in his disappearance, but his case was reopened earlier this year after the documentary grew in popularity.[video_embed id='1995527']RELATED: Tyra Banks will host and executive produce ‘DWTS'[/video_embed]Baskin is just one of 15 contestants participating in the 29th season. Also joining previously confirmed contestants Kaitlyn Bristowe and Backstreet Boy AJ McLean are a slew of personalities from all walks of the entertainment life. Navarro College cheerleading coach Monica Aldama is trading in the cartwheels for the pas de deux, retired NFL star Vernon Davis is hoping to score a touchdown with his dancing skills, actress Anne Heche is ready to prove she’s still got it on the dance floor, and 18-year-old Disney star Skai Jackson (Jessie) is proving she’s all grown up with her ballroom moves.

Also on board? One Day at a Time lead Justina Machado, as well as former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe. The Real co-host Jeannie Mai is also adding to her full production plate by joining the series, and rapper Nelly plans to make it “Hot in Herre” when he takes the dance floor. Catfish host Nev Schulman, retired NBA star Charles Oakley, and Olympic Figure Skater/egg-cellent The Masked Singer participant Johnny Weir are also on board.Rounding out the cast is Chrishell Stause, aka Justin Hartley’s (This Is Us) ex-wife. The Selling Sunset star and Los Angeles realtor was also one of the early rumoured contestants for the season, proving that sometimes the rumours are true after all. When the newest season of the dance competition kicks off, Banks takes over hosting duties from Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron, who has hosted the show since the beginning. The pair were let go from the series earlier this year so that the show could go in a new creative direction. Although Banks has teased some big changes coming up, no one has really gone into specifics just yet.“It is going to be so next level,” Banks teased in a GMA interview. “We’re doing all this crazy stuff, taking it to the next level but still keeping the stuff that we know America loves. But you need to get ready because it’s going to be different.”In August, ABC also announced the pros competing in this season, and revealed that Britt Stewart has been hired as the first-ever Black female pro dancer. Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are expected to return as judges. The action all kicks off when the show returns on September 14.[video_embed id='1950525']Before you go: Baby's adorable outfits are bringing people a lot of joy during quarantine[/video_embed]
