Before we get into exploring the intelligence of Jennifer Lopez‘s ex-boyfriend, Casper Smart, let’s all remind ourselves of their relationship. They started dating in October 2011 but didn’t go public or announce anything official until July 2012. We all thought she was just rebounding with her young backup dancer after her separation from Marc Anthony, but their relationship actually endured. And most of us probably assumed Casper would be her fourth husband but something happened between then and now and she shocked us by not sporting a ring on that finger.
Well, it looks like Casper’s never going to put a ring on it because they are over for good. We think. We hope. People is reporting that Smart is anything but and the reason Jen broke up with him is because he’s a big, fat cheater.
“She kicked him out because he cheated on her and he got caught,” a source told the mag. “It happened two years ago, and he promised he would never do it again and once he did, she was done.”
The source says that Casper’s been working on bettering himself to try and win J.Lo back, but a recent trip to Mexico to work on a video showed he hadn’t learned his lesson.
So, he cheated on her two years ago, said it wouldn’t happen again, and then it did. Why she took him back after the first incident is beyond us, but things definitely cooled from what was once a very lovey-dovey relationship to something more meh. And still, she kept him around over the last couple years, likely as a friend with benefits kind of deal, but that’s all he was ever going to be.
But this all begs the question: WHO CHEATS ON JENNIFER LOPEZ? Honestly. Millions of inquiring minds want to know, with guys and girls around the world everywhere simultaneously shaking their heads at Casper.
Lopez has always been the kind of person who needs to be in a relationship. She craves that security, that reassurance, that idea of being in love. Here’s hoping she doesn’t leap into yet another relationship, and has finally realized she doesn’t need a man to be happy. Probably not, though. But as long as it’s not Casper, that’s a win, right?
