If you ever get a chance to ride in a glider, you and your pilot need to do the following routine checks:
1. Double-check that the conditions are suitable for soaring
2. Ensure that equipment is all checked out and all fuelled up.
3. Make sure there are no cats on board… — wait, what?!
A cat was the last thing two people, who were flying in an open-cockpit glider in French Guiana, were expecting to see shortly after takeoff. But, alas, there it was. The little cat, which had been hiding inside the glider’s wing, magically appeared, desperately hanging on for dear life. It’s really quite remarkable and utterly terrifying.
According to the video post, the cat is fine (he is now the flying club’s new mascot!) and all three passengers made it safely to the ground. Phew!
