Coming to us from the Before Times, Meryl Streep’s newest movie takes place aboard the mother of all passenger liners, the Queen Mary II, following its three female leads (Streep is joined by legends Candice Bergen and Dianne Wiest) across the Atlantic on a journey of reconnection, reflection, and… hilarious, writer’s block-induced procrastination. Her latest, much-hyped manuscript is overdue (in fact, from the looks of this new clip, it’s likely that she’s yet to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard) and she’s aiming to hammer out a draft while at sea. To that end, she’s set out a strict writing schedule for herself.
