If you're ever lucky enough to be mere feet away from Janelle Monáe while she delivers a mind-blowing performance in black tie dress at a swanky olden days jazz club, channel your inner Cate Blanchett. Not sure what that means? See this video for reference. Recreating the 1920s night life scene at New York Fashion Week, designer Ralph Lauren opened "Ralph's Club" for one-night-only on Saturday. If his takes on the tuxedo and red carpet gown—modeled by Bella and Gigi Hadid among others—were the stars of the event, Janelle Monáe's performance was the sun, moon and everything else in the galaxy.

She sang a medley of classics—along with her own song "Come Alive (The War of the Roses)"— to the crowd of A-listers, including Blanchett, Anna Wintour and Henry Golding, knocking over microphone stands, standing on tables and splashing champagne along the way. While the rest of us were too mesmerized by Janelle to notice much else going on, luckily keen Twitter user @blunxchett caught on to Cate's absolutely perfect reaction in the background. The tweet has predictably received thousands of likes, including one from Janelle Monáe herself. While it doesn't seem these Cate and Janelle have officially met yet, here's hoping we'll be getting more of this prime content in the near future.
