Some brides — and even grooms — are prone to meltdowns, whether it’s during the planning stage or during the actual nuptials. And celebrities aren’t exempt from wedding madness. In fact, because their options seem endless, they might even be worse than most.
Simpson’s wedding to Eric Johnson was extravagant but not crazy. Her first to Nick Lachey, however, had a gospel choir and a ballroom filled with 30,000 roses. Jess went on to write a book on how to plan a celebrity-inspired wedding on a budget; at least she didn’t write about living happily ever after.
Kim’s wedding to Kanye West was a splashy European do but it was her wedding to Kris Humphries, which E! branded: Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event (notice there’s no mention of the groom anywhere), the term “bridezilla” was bandied about, as she reportedly tried to outdo the royal wedding with her own $10-million nups.
The country singer reportedly had three different gowns for her wedding (one to walk down the aisle, a second for dinner and the third to dance in). She also went over-the-top with security arrangements, as if people really cared that much that she was hitching her wagon to Eddie Cibrian‘s cart.
The actress’ reality show, Shannen Says, documented her plans to walk down the aisle for the third time. Fiancé Kurt Iswarienko had to abide by her strict rules, she banned babies from the ceremony and she single-handedly — and angrily — planned the nups in seven weeks. That alone is enough to drive anyone batty.

Her guests had to go through multiple costume changes and her priorities included getting her IV vitamin cocktail and that the groom got Botoxed before walking down the aisle.
There were reports that Jessica Biel allowed JT to pick out her wedding dress, partly because she trusted him but mostly because he’s a control freak. Timberlake and his mom also chose the flowers, the food, the wine and the cake while Biel reportedly took a back seat.
The former co-host of The View lost her job after she had corporate sponsors donate goods and services to her wedding in exchange for publicity. She later apologized for getting “caught in the euphoria”. Pfft, euphoria, schmuphoria. She and Al Reynolds split three years later.
She and Arun Nayer married in an English castle, then went on a six-day wedding tour which included horse rides, star-studded Bollywood numbers and 13 different designer gowns for Liz. The couple also requested gifts of livestock from their guests, who had to adhere to a strict dress code.
