From what we can see, Keaton Jones is a typical middle schooler from the Knoxville, Tenn., area. But he has one problem: bullies. And they target him. A lot. Things have gotten so bad that he often gets his mother, Kimberly, to pick him up from school, and this past Friday was no different. He was bullied yet again, but this time Keaton’s mom recorded her son talking about this day and how perplexed he is at the idea of being mean to someone, just because.

“Why do they bully?” he asks at the start of the clip. “They make fun of my nose. They call me ugly. They say I have no friends.”

“What did they do to you at lunch?” his mom can be heard asking, and he proceeded to list all the crap he endured. But despite his obvious distress, Keaton still had words of encouragement for others who are suffering from the same kind of treatment.

“I don’t like that they do it to me. And I, for sure, don’t like that they do it to other people, ’cause it’s not OK!” he said, as tears streamed down his face. “People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it, because it’s not their fault. If you are made fun of, just don’t let it bother you.”

His parting words? “Stay strong, I guess. It’s hard, but it will probably get better one day.”

Amazing, right? Kimberly should be proud of her son and his strength, and she probably recorded it because it’s the kind of thing a parent does. Document something awful that’s going on as evidence to bring back to the school so they can, hopefully, take the next steps to ensure his safety.

But Keaton and his family probably didn’t expect such an outpouring of support. Perhaps it’s his effort to stay strong in the face of being bullied that has brought so many people, particularly famous peeps, to Keaton’s side.

I love this boy and I’ve never met him. YOU are an angel my friend, don’t ever let others define who you are. You are brave and beautiful just as you are. Bullies are insecure and ignorant. Words create emotional poison, don’t listen to them so that poison doesn’t ever get to your pure heart. I think you are a special human being that deserves nothing but happiness. And you will have it. Many blessings to you. And when you think you don’t have the strength, you should know I’m sending you all my energy to help you through. 🙏🏻 #Repost @brian_atwood ・・・ ❤️❤️❤️him. STOP #bullying @25park No one deserves to be bullied!!! Spread LOVE not HATE
