Charlize Theron is known to dig deep when she takes on a new role, whether she's fully immersing herself into it or altering her appearance to embody the character, from shaving her head, eyebrows or dying her blonde locks brown. For her return to the Fast & Furious franchise, Theron did something in between — and got a haircut no one should get.Sigh. Of course she still looks stunning. And it looks like after Charlize's character, Cipher, parachuted away in The Fate of the Furious, she clearly didn't die and will once again face off against Vin Diesel and the rest of the gang. This time, with a bowl cut that looks so good, we're almost tempted to make an appointment with the hairdresser. Almost.
Ariana Grande corrects fan who accuses her of using autotune
After sharing an Instagram video from one of her recent concerts, Ariana Grande was praised by many but one alleged fan didn't love it — and shared his thoughts with her in the comments section."It sounds like autotune and probably not live," wrote Instagram user chals91. "I mean you are a great singer and I love your voice and songs but this doesn't sound live." And Ari handled the backhanded compliment in the best way possible, the only way Ari could: by schooling him.Her clapback came days after she was forced to cancel a meet-and-greet in Antwerp, Belgium. According to the Daily Mail, Grande sent an email to fans who paid for the event and in the "personal message from Ariana," she said her anxiety and depression were at an all-time high. She confessed to suffering from "a handful of panic attacks" and felt it was best to save her energy for the actual show rather than not be fully present. Ari apologized, expressed her love and promised to give the "best show" she could. The singer wrote: "I wish I could control these attacks but as anyone with anxiety or depression understands, sometimes you can only operate on its terms and not your own."Poor thing. Here's hoping she finds a happy medium, one that both satisfies fans and keeps her health in check because the latter is of the utmost importance. Just ask Justin Bieber.
Kim Kardashian spent Labour Day studying contracts, woo-hoo
While some parents were winding down the long weekend, maybe getting their children ready for the first day of school, Kim Kardashian was studying for the bar exam. The topic: contracts. Fun times.According to People, Kim took to her Instagram stories to share a video of her textbook and notes and can be heard off-camera, saying, "While everyone is probably at a barbecue, I am studying contracts today."[caption id="attachment_4451870" align="alignleft" width="686"]

Many scoffed but Kardashian explained exactly how a college dropout could actually do it and the steps she was taking to achieve those goals.Barbecues trump studying any day but Kim is clearly determined. Wishing her the best of luck with her continued studies and hopefully she can hang with her family during the next long weekend.
Thomas Markle really, really, really wants to meet grandson Archie
In the case of Thomas Markle, the word "estranged" doesn't precede "father" for nothing. Yes, he's apologized for the paparazzi debacle in the days leading up to the royal wedding, missed said wedding, and has spoken to the media numerous times about anything and everything, but he still is not welcomed by Duchess Meghan or Prince Harry, and obviously hasn't met his grandson, Archie. With good reason. Because rather than work towards bettering their damaged relationship and prove he's willing to do whatever it takes and play by the royals' rules to make all that happen, he ran to the press again.And instead of his usual pleas, Markle told the Mail on Sunday that he has been unfairly cut out of Archie's life."I would like them to send me a picture of Archie so I can frame it on my wall beside the one of Meghan," Markle said, referring to a photo of himself and his daughter at a football game. "Isn't that what any grandfather would want? I'd love to know if he's got the famous Markle nose."He added that he "sent her a card via her financial adviser in L.A. but received no acknowledgment," and has no idea whether she received it."Of course, I'm disappointed not to see Archie," he continued. "I had hoped becoming a mother would mellow Meghan and she would reach out." And that's when things took an ugly turn. "Everyone raves about how gracious and wonderful they are, but they are not wonderful to their own family. That's hypocritical. You can't portray yourself as being charitable and bringing people together and then ghost your own father and your entire family. Their treatment of me has left a lot to be desired."Markle admitted, however, that he hopes their differences will be resolved. "I always hoped I would be as close to Meghan's child as I was to her when she was a child." Oy. Probably not the best way to handle the situation.
