The first photos from Lifetime’s fictional retelling of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s romance are here and they’ve got us all sorts of excited for the full feature Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance.

Parisa Fits-Henley and Murray Fraser are twinning big time with the real-life couple, though we’re not sure we’d say the same for the made-for-TV Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Appearing at what looks to be a double date over a formal dinner (perhaps the first time the fab four ventured out privately together?) Lifetime's Harry and Meghan appear to have the necessary physical chemistry, posture, smiles and styling down.

When casting news broke, reviews were mixed on who would play Harry and Meghan. But it appears Will and Kate are the ones who require a stretch of the imagination with Burgess Abernethy, in the role of the Duke of Cambridge, not quite capturing the eternally youthful face of the real royal (who has had two previous TV-treatments before).

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, is played by Laura Mitchell (who boasts Lifetime experience with The Unauthorized Full House Story). And while the late Princess Diana’s sapphire ring replica is nailing its part, the rest falls short. Where’s her signature bouncy blowout!?

Our hearts are racing over a second still featuring Harry and Meghan dancing, their eyes closed with foreheads pressed together. In this steamy profile shot, the actors are giving us some seriously royal, romantic vibes.

Fits-Henley and a shirtless Fraser even shared this  BTS photo to Instagram on their first day of shooting, appearing side by side in bed together captioned with #gingerlove.

The movie will pick up at the moment Harry and Meghan are set up by a mutual friend, eventually leading to the highly-publicized engagement that caught the world’s attention. Whether this faux-royal clan has us convinced or not, the real fab-four were spotted Monday at London's Westminster Abbey attending service to celebrate Commonwealth Day. Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance will premiere May 13, one week ahead of when the real Harry and Meghan say “I do” on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
