We all have goals. It just happens that Cliffanne Forrester has completed her life goal at age 18 — as if that were easy.
Cliffanne is one of 89 New York high school students selected to be a part of the display: “P.S. Art 2016: Celebrating the Creative Spirit of New York City Kids.” It’s no small feat to be selected for the display as submissions come pouring in. (Plus, most of us are still trying to make a realistic stick person).
Her painting is titled Uganda, and was inspired by a photograph she took of a young girl on a trip to Uganda. Cliffanne’s art teacher encouraged her to paint an interpretation of it, and the results are amazing.

Now, her painting’s at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You know which other artists have pieces in the MET? Jacques-Louis David, Monet and Jackson Pollock. In other words, this is no small feat.
Not only has her amazing piece been placed in the MET, but after posting her excitement about it on Twitter, the painting went viral (with over 40,000 retweets). That’s seriously amazing for an artist at any age.
This is seriously something that Cliffanne is proud of, as you can see by her super cool graduation cap!

Although she already has one piece in a world renowned museum, Cliffanne isn’t going to stop working to improve her skills.
People think I’m stopping here bc I achieved my ultimate goal… Lol, I’m getting another piece in the MET one day & nothing will stop me.
