You know who’s a great person? Nicole Elliot.

Who is Nicole Elliot, you ask? Oh, she’s just a 24-year-old mom who adopted Chester, the cutest (and saddest-looking) dog to ever walk the planet. But this isn’t just a regular adoption. You see, tiny Chester has cancer, and Elliot discovered him on an animal rescue Facebook post that asked for a hospice-type home for his remaining days.

The before and after of Chester after being saved from deathrow at the pound in Columbus. I want to thank Animal Ark…

OK, so this story is totally heartbreaking, but there is a silver lining. Elliot wants Chester to go out in style and with a smile on his face, so she’s created a bucket list for him. It includes (but is not limited to): car rides, shopping sprees, “doggy sundaes,” and eating hot dogs. Amazing, right? Then, to make things even better for Chester, Nicole created a Facebook page so others can follow his journey and, well, it’s blown up.

Chester’s choice- His bed, my sheet, my T-shirt, and a big cozy teddy. He is comfortable. Good night world.

67,000 people are now a part of Chester’s extended family and Nicole’s story has touched many animal lovers.

“…The happiness and contentment you are giving him now has become his entire view of the world. He will cross Rainbow Bridge knowing that he mattered and that the world could be a good place,” said one fan.

And now we’re all crying, aren’t we?

Good luck with checking off everything on your bucket list, Chester. We’re rooting for ya!
