Why China reportedly ‘body-searched’ 10,000 pigeons
Please, China. Do tell. Residents of the country were raising an eyebrow after 10,000 birds had their wings, legs and even anuses searched to ensure they weren’t carrying any “suspicious material.” While there hasn’t been any word on what that material might have been, the birds were going to be released as part of a ceremony to mark the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Um, you missed the toilet dude. RCMP were called to a home in Newfoundland this week to deal with a suspected intruder. Once they arrived, however, they found a “highly intoxicated” man who let ‘er rip right before passing out (hopefully not in his own puddle though).

Northern Ireland police hand out scratch-and-sniff cards for grow-ops
This isn’t quite as crazy as it sounds. In an effort to crack down on the rapid increase of grow-ops, local authorities are distributing cards to the public and asking them to help locate any fields of green — of the illegal variety, that is. The cards include information about grow-ops, but can also be scratched to produce a smell that replicates the cannabis plant, which is different from the smell emitted when marijuana is smoked.

Ever lift a 10-pound weight? Good, now imagine that in hair. Ayperi Alekseeva, 18, from Kyrgyzstan visited doctors after complaining that she couldn’t eat or drink. You can only imagine the horror when doctors discovered the reason why. Apparently, the giant mass formed after years of the girl eating her own hair along with hair picked up off the floor.
