Chris Hemsworth, one of our top two Chrises, has been part of some of the biggest film franchises of the past five years and he’s ready for a break. The Australian actor has starred as Thor three times in two years, in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and this year’s massive Avengers: Endgame, which broke box office records by hitting the $2 billion mark faster than any film in history. With both Avenger films shooting back to back and Hemsworth spending much of 2018 filming the Men In Black revival, the actor says that he’s ready to put down his hammer and black sunglasses and take a break. We get it, making history is exhausting.

Speaking with Australia’s Daily Telegraph, Hemsworth said that he plans on taking the next year off from filming movies to instead stay home with his children, seven-year-old India and five-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan, whom he shares with wife Elsa Pataky.

“This year I probably won’t shoot anything. I just want to be at home now with my kids,” Hemsworth told the newspaper, according to ABC Montana.  “They are at a very important age. They are still young and they are aware when I leave more than before. I have this year where I’m probably not going to shoot anything. I have a press tour, a few endorsements and bits and pieces, but mostly just be home.” Gotta say, we’re a bit jealous.

The 35-year-old star, who has been married to fellow actor Pataky since 2010, said that he’s thankful to be in a place in his career where he can take time away from the spotlight. “If you went back 10 years and asked me what would be my dream scenario, this is kind of it. I can now sit back, enjoy and appreciate it, and stop chasing [movies].”

Hemsworth also said that when it comes to choosing his future projects, location, and specifically their proximity to his home country of Australia, will play an important role. “These days, honestly, one of my my first questions is location,” says Hemsworth. “My kids now are all in school and we’re planted in Australia and it’s getting harder to leave.”

Fans don’t have to worry too much about missing Hemsworth during his time off. The actor still has two films coming out in 2019, including the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and Dhaka, in which Hemsworth plays a mercenary hired to find the kidnapped son of a businessman.

In addition, Hemsworth has already been tapped to play famed wrestler Hulk Hogan in a biopic about the WWE star, which is about as perfect a casting choice as we can imagine. Filming has yet to begin on the upcoming biography, which The Hollywood Reporter reveals will focus on Hogan’s rise to fame and the worldwide phenomenon of Hulkamania. Hulk Hemsworth? We’re so here for this.

Hemsworth is currently on a press tour with his Men In Black: International co-star Tessa Thompson to promote the film’s upcoming June 14 release.
