Step aside, Prince Louis (or rather, Kate holding Prince Louis). Nobody cares about your wedding, Meghan and Harry. All celebrity news is cancelled because Chrissy Teigen and John Legend – the most important Hollywood couple – just welcomed their second child.

It has long been assumed that the entire world would know the exact moment when Chrissy Teigen went into labour because she would either tweet about it or there would be a telling pause in her life-long Twitter monologue. Interestingly, neither scenario came to pass. Wednesday afternoon Chrissy was watching TV and muting the words “laurel” and “yanny” and then at 1:23 a.m. Thursday (write that down for your records), she tweeted that the baby was here. Just like that.

The announcement was re-tweeted shortly thereafter by husband/perfect-partner/all-around-amazing-human John Legend. Meanwhile, the internet was going completely nuts. Everyone’s online mom/BFF had just graced the world with another tiny human being.

The new baby joins big sister Luna Simone Stephens (no, Luna’s last name isn’t Legend or Teigen, it’s John’s real last name) who turned two last month. Chrissy announced last November that a new addition would be coming and we know from earlier comments that the new baby is a boy. Chrissy explained when Luna was born that since the couple used IVF to get pregnant, they chose to have a girl first and their second kid would be a boy.

Around now is about the time that the internet would normally begin intensely speculating what the new baby is going to be named. Unfortunately, Chrissy’s announcement comes dangerously close to the creation of a new and violently viral meme. Instead of the usual serious and highly theoretical talk about what the latest celebrity baby will be named, the most common name suggestions are “Laurel” and “Yanny.” We’re so sorry, Chrissy and John, that you have to endure this kind of blatant disrespect. On the plus side, as noted above, Chrissy has muted those words so she won’t have to see all these awful internet jokes.

Whether the couple names the baby Laurel, Yanny, Laurel-Yanny or (gasp) something completely different, we’re sure glad that Chrissy finally gets to hold her boy.

Right now we’re eagerly awaiting the Twitter Queen’s return. She’s got some questions to answer. Most notably: what is this lovely addition’s name? And did her doctor allow her to get a wax during her epidural like she wanted?

While we wait, here is an adorable video of Luna on Mother’s Day. Enjoy!
