Chrissy Teigen has always been open about the ups and downs of motherhood, which is one of the many reasons we love her. The host of Lip Sync Battle and Bring The Funny has spoken publicly about her struggles with Postpartum Depression following the birth of her daughter Luna in 2016. Teigen and husband John Legend welcomed their second child, a boy named Miles, in 2018, and in the comment section of a recent Instagram post, Teigen said the couple are in no rush for baby number three.
Teigen posted a sweet picture of herself posing candidly alongside her kids at the beach, writing “Rascals, in descending order of rascality.” The snap prompted one follower to comment “I think you can fit one more little one on the end.” The comment caused many people jumped to Teigen’s defense and criticize the Instagram user for questioning if and when Teigen and Legend were planning on a third child, but Teigen quickly stepped in and deescalated the situation. “All good,” wrote Teigen. “Gonna try to wait a few years before attempting again. These guys are exhausting!”
Teigen’s lighthearted post about her children came just a few hours after the celebrity uploaded an image of herself walking on what appears to be the same beach. Joined by her dog Paul, Teigen captioned the image “I haven’t been feeling like my best self lately. Like pretty super below it. I think I have an ulcer. Also I’m super cranky. And tired. Don’t tell me to go to the doctor. I will. But I still need help with the cranky part 🙁 is there a cranky dr?”
Teigen added that she’s found herself being forgetful recently, even ordering a drink at a juice bar, paying for the beverage and leaving without waiting for the drink to be ready. The author of Cravings and Cravings: Hungry For More added that she thinks her spicy diet may be partially to blame for her recent mood change, writing “I think I need to eat really bland things for a month. I eat so spicy and garlicy and acidic. My stomach is so mad at me. I think my organs are 1/1000th of a millimeter thick and about to go.”
Teigen followed the post with a cute snap of her daughter Luna and her friend Kenna, daughter of Karalyn and Stu Holden, adding “These two (Not why I’m cranky).”

We’re glad to hear that Teigen is going to check in with a doctor about her mood change and we applaud her for continuing to speak openly about her emotions. Too often we see changes in mood and emotional states go ignored and Teigen is one of the few celebs that is using her platform to help break down the stigma of being vulnerable and asking for help.
