Every year, around this time, members of the British Royal Family release never-before-seen photos. It’s like they know what a frenetic time this can be and that we need a little break from our busy lives. It’s also a nice respite from all the negative news we’ve been hearing from across the pond. So, putting all the pitfalls of the previous year behind them, the Cambridges, Harry and Meghan, and Charles and Camilla have shared the three new pics featured on their respective holiday cards.
First off, William, Kate and their brood:

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The photograph, taken by Matt Porteous, shows The Duke and Duchess with their three children at Anmer Hall. This photograph features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year.
It’s almost too hard to take in, there’s so much going on. George, who normally shies away from the cameras, clearly loved every minute of this photoshoot. Perhaps because it’s the first time we’ve seen him in jeans. JEANS! Charlotte, on the other hand, appears more reserved (very un-Charlotte-like) while little Louis, well, he looks like he’s going to take after his big bro. YES. And Kate and Will look happy, though maybe they’re just pleased that with all George’s goofing around, photographer Matt Porteous finally got a pic that worked. Also? Love that the entire family is matching, but not in a matchy-match way.
Now, on to Harry and Meghan.
Swoon. It’s from the evening of their wedding day, during the fireworks portion of their reception at Frogmore House — quite fitting since it’s across from the couple’s new home. The black-and-white photo, taken by Chris Allerton, is as gorgeous and elegant as the subjects themselves, what with the backs of the Sussexes’ silhouettes backlit from the light show.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Based on the bench Charles and Camilla were sitting on, the photo was an outtake from Charles’ 70th birthday shoot (though this shot was taken by Hugo Burnand, not Chris Jackson). While they weren’t holding hands and are barely touching, the look they shared says everything. That’s a lot of love right there. In fact, it’s a lot of love in all three pics. Very different, yet equally awesome.
