You probably thought you’ve see every moment of Friends. You still refer to it in everyday conversation, and quotes like “She’s your lobster,” “How you doin’?” and “On a break” are just some of the favourites that have been ingrained in your brain and will never, ever leave.

But there are actually scenes from one episode that can’t be seen on streaming networks or the Season 8 DVD extras. The direction in story was changed because of the subject matter. See, the episode “The One Where Ross Tells Rachel,” aired exactly one month after the tragic events of 9/11 and the creative team made the decision to cut the original scenes and create a new storyline for Monica and Chandler.

In the scenes, the newlyweds are going through airport security when Chandler makes a poorly timed bomb joke and is taken away by TSA agents for questioning.

The opening slide of the now-released scenes reads, “As part of the history of the show, we hope that the scenes can now be viewed in the spirit which they were originally intended.”

When you watch what was going to air and compare it to what actually aired (the Bings watch helplessly as another newly married couple get all kinds of perks while they get shafted), the writers should be applauded because neither version misses a beat. Now go, watch the entire episode. We know you want to.
