Courteney Cox and beau Johnny McDaid may no longer be engaged, but the former Friends star says that their relationship is stronger than ever. The duo started dating in January of 2014 and became engaged only six months after the start of their relationship. Sometimes you just know, yknow?
But things came to a halt after they called of their engagement in 2015, at which point McDaid, 42, moved halfway across the world to London. Come 2016 and the pair are back together and “everything’s better,” according to Cox.
Cox, 54, told Ellen, “We broke off our engagement, and he moved to England, then we got back together, and it’s actually better than it was before.”
Though the couple still live separate lives, they make conscious efforts to see each other as much as they can. Cox admits that it’s an expensive relationship as they both go back and forth a lot. But who cares if it’s in the name of love!
Sometimes love means more than just a marriage and Cox isn’t the only one who thinks so, take Oprah for example. Her and long-time partner Stedman Graham have been going strong for over 30 years without the “married” label, and they’re better for it! Oprah openly admitted that if they had gotten married they would no longer be together. Just goes to show that you really don’t need marriage to make it work.
