The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is only a few days away and that means the availability of souvenirs and branded wedding merchandise is at an all time high. In some cases, it’s also at an all-time weird. The latest product to use the royal couple’s faces to sell memorabilia? Bathing suits. Nothing says lounging by the pool like the most formal wedding of the year.
We thought we had seen just about every way to cash in on the royal wedding. There are the gift shops in London dedicated entirely to Harry and Meghan.
There’s the official tea towel for Prince Harry and Meghan.
There’s the giant Lego replica of the upcoming wedding ceremony.
There are the official wax figures of the happy couple, which if we’re being honest, aren’t that bad.
And of course, this weekend was the premiere of the Lifetime movie Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance.
But if you’re still looking for the perfect royal wedding item to help celebrate the famous couple’s big day, there are now bathing suits. Specifically, bathing suits with enlarged images of Harry and Meghan’s faces. They’re…um…a lot to take in.
The custom printing website Bags of Love is advertising bathing suits with Meghan and Harry’s larger than life portraits printed on them, with fans of the royal couple choosing which image of the duo to upload in order to create the $40 USD custom swimsuit.
Bags of Love told Metro that the bathing suits have been a popular selling item, with the one-piece suit coming in sizes XS to 4X. “Our favourite has to be the Harry and Meghan and Wills and Kate swimsuits. Nothing like printing the face of a prince or duchess on a swimming costume and rocking it proudly on the beach.”
Nope, nothing like it at all. So sporty, so beachy, so royal, so slightly terrifying.
