Jennifer Garner isn’t just a supermom who acts on the side. She also happens to be a budding baker, so much so that she stars in a pretend cooking show that’s been posted to her Facebook page. That being said, there’s nothing ‘pretend’ about it. The woman is a natural on camera (anyone who’s ever seen Alias or 13 Going on 30 or Daredevil knows this) and she doesn’t half-ass anything. So as far as baking goes, she’s the real deal.
On Saturday, Jen posted Episode 2 of Pretend Cooking Show. And forget hair and makeup — she’s all about baking in her jammies. The recipe she tackled? English muffins. Because why buy a pack of six for $3 when you can spend night and day making them?
On both her Facebook and Instagram accounts, Garner posted the recipe from the Zoe Nathan‘s Huckleberry cookbook, and included her very own ‘Jen tip’ for heating a griddle. And don’t they look absolutely mouthwatering?
Now, you might wonder that if this was the second episode, where’s Episode 1? Well, ask and you shall receive.
The first instalment of Pretend Cooking Show came last month, when Garner took on Ina Garten‘s Honey White Bread recipe. And because this is Jen we’re talking about, she had to take it to another level. Sure a loaf of bread is delish, but bread men for each of her kids? Now that’s going over and above, clearly making her the coolest mom on the block.
She also happens to be a glutton for punishment since she admits she’s avoiding carbs for a movie right now. That’s real sacrifice right there.
