Fans may have been left wondering whether Robert Pattinson would ever reprise the young adult role that made him famous with the recent Twilight prequel announcement, but while everyone was busy speculating about vampires it turns out they should have been focused on wizards. And by wizards we mean Daniel Radcliffe, who brought life to one of the most famous magical people of all, Harry Potter.J.K. Rowling announced on May 5 that she’s releasing a brand new audio recording of her first book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, in collaboration with her Wizarding World media company. Not only that, but she’s recruited some pretty famous Potterheads, including Daniel Radcliffe himself, to record it. "From today, amazing friends of the Wizarding World are going to take turns reading Harry Potter book one," revealed an official tweet from the Harry Potter Film account. "And to start us off with Chapter 1, we think you'll agree we have the perfect narrator…" To help fans pass the time while social distancing, Rowling revealed the company will release one new chapter a week. Radcliffe kicks off the action with his rendition of chapter one, “The Boy Who Lived.” That chapter is now available to listen to for free on Spotify, while those in quarantine who prefer to tune in via video can log onto the newly launched Harry Potter at Home app. Over the coming weeks other celebrities like Eddie Redmayne, David Beckham and Dakota Fanning will read subsequent chapters from their own homes while in quarantine.[video_embed id='1814988']RELATED: Holy Harry Potter: it’s a real-life invisibility cloak[/video_embed]Is there any better way to revoke your muggle card and get back into the world of Hogwarts than with Harry Potter himself? Fans certainly don’t think so. They were faster than a messenger owl to flock online and share the good news on their own social media accounts following the announcement. Rowling, who experienced coronavirus symptoms herself but has since recovered, continues to spread joy and learning during self-isolation. “For over twenty years now, Hogwarts has been an escape for all—for readers and fans, young and old,” revealed a post introducing Harry Potter at Home. “During the strange times we now find ourselves in, we want to welcome you back to Hogwarts, where you will find a friendly retreat for you, your family and those you are caring for.”[video_embed id='1950931']Before you go: Sophie Turner only agreed to date Joe Jonas if he watched 'Harry Potter'[/video_embed]
