Even before allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein hit the headlines this year — which prompted a number of men and women to step forward with their own stories of assault by some of Hollywood’s top actors, directors and comedians — four women had already accused actor Danny Masterson of rape. His rep, Jenni Weinman, however, has a grossly outdated viewpoint of the situation.

In a phone call obtained by The Huffington Post, an unidentified woman referred to as Victim 2 tells Weinman that Masterson raped Chrissie Bixler, Masterson’s girlfriend of six years. Weinman replies “Well, Chrissie was Danny’s girlfriend at the time, so there’s really nothing, there’s no story there.”

Victim 2 also alleges that Masterson drugged both herself and Bixler before raping them, a claim that Weinman also denies because of Scientology’s strict no-drug policy.

The star of That 70’s Show has been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for the past year for allegedly raping four women, two of whom he was in a relationship with at the time. Two of the women accusing Masterson of rape have spoken about their experiences with The Huffington Post, revealing that Masterson drugged them before raping them and had help covering up the assaults by his PR rep, Jenni Weinman.

Bixler was a member of the Church of Scientology when she began dating Masterson. Masterson, who has denied all allegations and said the occurrences were consensual, is still a member of the controversial organization. Bixler was one of the first women to come forward, tagging Masterson in her October 2016 tweet that read “Because your boyfriend tells you it’s not rape if you’re in a relationship and then his church covers it up. #WhyWomenDontReport.”

Bixler says that Masterson raped her while she was unconscious at least twice. In 2001, she reports that she woke up with pain from a bleeding anus. Distressed, she asked Masterson what happened the night before to which he replied they had anal sex. Bixler filed a report with the Church of Scientology’s ethics department at the time of the rape, but was told that Masterson could not have raped her because they were in a relationship.

Allegations of sexual and physical abuse in the Church of Scientology have come to light in recent years thanks to the HBO documentary Going Clear and the A&E series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, which is hosted by former Scientologist and actor Leah Remini. Masterson is married to fellow Scientologist Bijou Phillips.

The actor has yet to face any legal ramifications or career fallout from the allegations. While Netflix was quick to pull the plug on Kevin Spacey’s role on House of Cards, the company has yet to remove Masterson from his starring role on The Ranch, with Season 4 arriving on the streaming station in December.
