Demi Lovato just celebrated her birthday surrounded by people she loves, great music, and cake—basically, the ultimate trifecta. The pop singer spent her final day as a 26-year-old with her new management company-turned-family, including Ariana Grande and manager Scooter Braun, whom Demi signed on with in May.

Demi chronicled the night on her Instagram Stories, which included a concert by Grande at London’s O2 Arena. Monday’s show marked the second night of Grande’s London stop, with her earlier concert over the weekend including a dance party with an appearance by none other than Harry Styles and Millie Bobby Brown. At Monday’s show, Lovato and new manager Scooter sang and danced to Grande’s biggest hits, with Grande even dedicating her pre-show prayer ritual with her team of dancers to Lovato. Demi shared the gesture on Instagram, writing “This was too sweet not to post…. before show prayer they did this for my bday. I’m so so proud of you @arianagrande. You f***king killed that!!! I love you tons.”

Demi posted a handful of videos from Grande’s concert, showing the former Disney star dancing with her new manager and stanning for Grande. Lovato kicked off her IG stories by wearing a tie-dye hoodie from Justin Bieber’s Drew House clothing line, proving that if you sign Demi to your management company, she will definitely help promote her co-workers.

Lovato followed up the concert footage with a selfie video, in the wee hours of the night or the next morning, that appeared to be shot in a hotel room, telling the camera, “It’s my birthday, I’m so happy. I’ve literally never woken up this before happy in my life. I’m doing something today I haven’t done in a long ass time with somebody. My friends are my family and I have my new family there and that is priceless as well.” No word yet on what that activity might be but we’ll be keeping an eye out.

Those friends-who-are-now-family made sure that Lovato felt the love on her birthday, with the group taking multiple tries to properly serenade Demi with a birthday cake, though we can’t imagine why everyone just didn’t stand back and let Ariana sing a solo “Happy Birthday.”

Lovato’s birthday celebration arrives almost exactly one year after the star was hospitalized following an overdose at her home in July 2018. Since leaving rehab at the end of 2018, Lovato has been working on her sobriety and starting a new chapter in her career, which includes her partnership with Braun and focusing on what makes her happy in life, like staying fit and watching The Bachelorette. Stars, they’re just like us!

Just last month Lovato shared a cute snap with Hannah Brown, the most recent Bachelorette star, and has been very open on social media about her attraction to last season’s contestant, Mike Johnson. According to Johnson, he and Lovato have yet to speak or meet, but he may want to get his people on that: this is going to be the year of Demi.
