It was just Tuesday afternoon that TMZ reported that Demi Lovato had fallen off the wagon — hard. The gossip site said the singer suffered a possible heroin overdose at her home, 911 was called and she was rushed to a local hospital. Lovato, thankfully, regained consciousness, and her rep issued a statement to the media later in the day, saying, “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Of course, that only made people speculate more, but since then, Us Weekly‘s sources have offered updates, claiming that friends of Demi were the ones who saved her life, both with their quick action and an emegency can of Narcan they had “on hand in case something like this happened.” TMZ backed that up and said the heroin talk came from a law enforcement source, not Lovato’s people.

Nevertheless, the terrible news comes one month after Lovato revealed in her latest single, “Sober,” that she had relapsed, and a couple weeks after that she reportedly fired her life coach.

Lovato has always been open and real about her battles and struggles with addiction, bipolar disorder, depression and eating disorders. The 25-year-old has helped so many with her honesty, which makes the whole situation all the more sad. But, it’s reassuring to know she’s conscious and has been able to wake up to all kinds of love and support.

And it isn’t just her famous friends sending her messages. Demi’s fans, whether she inspired them or they are hardcore Lovatics, are sharing the impact the singer has had on their lives.

Lovato is clearly loved, has a strong support system and the will to fight. We’ve seen her do it before and we’ll see her do it again. She’s got this.
