Spring has sprung and so have a number of huge new series coming to CraveTV. CTV’s highly anticipated crime drama The Detail is finding a second home on CraveTV, where it will air on Saturday nights, one day earlier than its primetime slot on Sundays.
Looking for a little laughter? CraveTV has you covered with comedy on purpose (Debra DiGiovanni’s new JFL42 stand up special Here’s The Thing) and comedy by accident (new episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation every week). It’s nice to have the option of something to laugh with and something to laugh at.
The Detail, Bosch, Jersey Shore and more great shows coming to CraveTV in April
BOSCH – Season 4April 14
Calling all TV crime show fans, Bosch is back with its best case yet. Season 4 of the gritty TV drama begins streaming on CraveTV starting April 14 and pairs Detective Bosch (Titus Welliver) with a timely new case. When an attorney is murdered the night before his civil rights trial against the LAPD is to begin, there’s only one man for the job. Actually, two. We can’t forget Detective Edgar (Jamie Hector), Bosch’s partner. What’s better than one TV detective on the case? Two, obviously. We weren’t trying to trick you. CraveTV
THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE WILDEST POLITICAL SHOW ON EARTHNew episodes every Sunday beginning April 15 at 8 p.m. ET
Could there be a more fitting title for a show about the US political climate in 2018 than The Circus? Sadly, we think not. In the SHOWTIME docu-series about the current administration south of us, hosts John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon, and Alex Wagner break down what in the world is happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and what it will take to see some change happen during the upcoming midterm elections. THE LEFTOVERS – Seasons 1 – 3April 20
Two per cent doesn’t sound like a huge number, but if two per cent of the population suddenly vanished overnight, you’d notice. In HBO’s critically acclaimed The Leftovers, those who remain after the ‘Sudden Departure’ find themselves divided into cults, with the Guilty Remnant as the most notorious. With all three seasons now available on CraveTV, you’re free to binge on this addictive show that will have you questioning the world of The Leftovers until, and maybe even after, the series finale. Oh yeah, it’s that good. Plus, Justin Theroux is pretty babe-tastic. CraveTV
ELVIS PRESLEY: THE SEARCHERApril 20
There aren’t many places left in the world that haven’t been touched by the music of the King, but that doesn’t mean we know all there is to know about the late, great Elvis Presley. In the new two-part documentary from HBO, Elvis Presley: The Searcher features never-before-seen photos and video footage of the man who changed music. Following Presley from childhood until his final recording session in 1976, the new doc, which premiered at SXSW this year, will have you falling in love with the King all over again. Have mercy. DEBRA DIGIOVANNI: HERE’S THE THINGApril 27
You’ve seen her on Much, Conan, and at Just For Laughs. If you’re not following her on Twitter, we recommend you get on that stat. Why aren’t more comedians funny on Twitter? We don’t know, but Canadian comic Debra DiGiovanni will have you laugh-crying in under 140 characters. The same goes for her new Just For Laughs special Debra DiGiovanni: Here’s The Thing, available starting April 27 on CraveTV. Do you love otters, cats, male models, and true crime TV shows? So does Debra. Prepare to meet your new bff. Getty Images
JERSEY SHORE: FAMILY VACATIONNew episodes every Friday starting April 5
What time is it? It’s t-shirt time. It’s time for the cabs to be here. It’s meatball time. It’s gym, tan, laundry time. And it’s also time for the most famous Guidos and Guidettes to ever stumble down the Jersey Shore boardwalk to return to their rightful place – in a house rented by MTV where their only form of communication with the outside world is a wooden duck. Snooki, Pauly D, J Woww, Ronnie, Vinnie, Dinah, and Mike ‘The Situation’ are back together, a little older, a little wiser (we’ll see), and now with kids and tax evasion cases. Let the drunken shenanigans begin. Bonus: All six seasons of Jersey Shore are available now on CraveTV. MTV
FLORIBAMA SHORENew episodes every Friday starting April 13
They say you can’t take the Jersey Shore out of the Guido, but you can find a different version of the same person in Floribama. At least, we’re pretty sure that’s a saying. Set on the border between Florida and Alabama is Panama City Beach, the Jersey Shore of the south. Watch as eight strangers live together in the same house, hooking up, fighting, making terrible decisions for their health, and getting really, really tanned. Turn off your mind and let the cast of Floribama Shore make you feel better about your own life choices. MTV
THE DETAILNew episodes every Saturday at 9 p.m. ET
We know, we know, there’s no shortage of crime dramas on TV. What there is a shortage of is crime dramas led by three female actors. Okay, we’re in. The new crime drama The Detail follows three homicide detectives as they balance their personal and professional lives, with both—spoiler alert—getting pretty dramatic. From the team that brought us Saving Hope, The Detail stars Shenae Grimes-Beech (Degrassi, 90210), Angela Griffin (Coronation Street) and Wendy Crewson (Saving Hope). Watch The Detail on CraveTV one day before its primetime slot on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on CTV. CTV
THE 4/20 COLLECTIONApril 16
The Canadian government is set to legalize the sale and consumption of marijuana within months, which means now is a better time than ever to get acquainted with the little green leaf. We mean the TV specials about weed coming to CraveTV, of course. Marijuana isn’t legal yet, so we would never recommend you partake…but we’re also not here to judge. What we do recommend is checking out the 4/20 collection coming to CraveTV, including comedies like Weeds, Broad City, Workaholics and The Time Traveling Bong, as well as the documentaries In Pot We Trust and Weed Wars: World’s Largest Medical Marijuana Dispensary. Snacks are encouraged. Much
