Dick van Dyke may be 90, but he’s showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Between birthday parades in Disneyland and surprise performances of ‘Step in Time’ (where he actually did the dance again) that man’s still got it. Plus, he doesn’t need a fancy concert hall to entertain, his latest impromptu performance took place at none other than a Denny’s in California.

Van Dyke and the rest of his quartet, The Vantastix, were finishing breakfast at the restaurant when apparently he was struck with the need to sing the theme from a movie he did 50 years ago. Not that we’re complaining. Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are childhood staples and every time Dick van Dyke (or Julie Andrews) does something to remind us of those oldies-but-goodies it’s a great time for the internet.

Van Dyke and his quartet are promoting their upcoming concert on August 28th, so if you just happen to be spending some time in California, you might be lucky enough to experience more spontaneous van Dyke. It seems like he’s generally inspired by breakfast foods so maybe focus your search on diners, IHOPs and Waffle Houses (just trying to help).

Dick van Dyke is precious and we must keep him at all costs. Thankfully, his hair may have turned white, but other than that, he hasn’t really aged all that much. We guess the secret to eternal youth must be singing your way through it. Take that, dermatologists.

We’re hoping there’s a lot more Dick van Dyke in our future.
