Unless you’re playing Six Degrees of Brad Pitt, he and Justin Theroux really have nothing to do with one another. Granted, Justin’s married to Brad’s ex, Jennifer Aniston, but other than that, nothing. So it was weird when, about a month ago, Theroux was asked about the demise of Brangelina, but he handled it with class, side-stepping the couple in question and making it about their six kids.
But perhaps Justin was, or is, tired of talking about his wife’s ex-husband from a decade ago. Because it seems like he’s finally had it.
In a recent Instagram post, Theroux posted a pic of a woman flipping the bird in front of a graffiti-inspired mural of various topics like war, steroids, racism, cocaine … and Brad Pitt.
According to his caption — first hashtag, #currentelectionmood — the post refers to his understandable annoyance at the upcoming U.S. presidential election, so maybe Justin actually missed the dig at Pitt. Whatever the case, we all noticed this little addendum: #andNOthispostisNOT’shading’anyonebecauseimnotelevenyearsoldimeanseriously, so we’re going to say he noticed.
We’re not sure what’s better — that he needs us all to know he’s not the kind of guy that would use “shading” in a sentence, or that he’s the kind of guy who needs us all to know he would never use “shading” in a sentence and is willing to mess up a brilliant hashtag to do so. All we do know is that we’re totally following Justin on Instagram now.
