Are you ready to turn up the heat with Spicy P?Three years ago, you might not have heard of Pascal Siakam, but last year he shot to stardom helping the Toronto Raptors claim the NBA Championship. He also won the league's Most Improved Player Award and was named a starter for his first-ever NBA All-Star game. The NBA champ recently dropped by The Social to chat about his success—including an exciting new product launch. Here are three things we learned from him during his appearance on the show.

WHY HIS NICKNAME SUITS HIM

Pascal's nickname 'Spicy P' isn't just catchy. It fits, he says, due to how he plays—adding "flavour" to the game! With the Raptors having just broken the record for most consecutive wins by a Canadian sports team, clearly he's been 'seasoning' the court just right.[video_embed id='1894108']MORE RAPTORS: The Toronto Raptors just made franchise history[/video_embed]

SPICY P HAS A HOT SAUCE

Not only is Spicy P his nickname, but it's also the name of Siakam's new hot sauce! In collaboration with Nando's, Pascal is finally giving the fans what they've been asking for. Plus, it's even better than a hot sauce – it’s PERi-PERi.What's more, you can feel good when you buy a bottle, because a portion of every bottle sold will go towards Right To Play, a non-profit organization that protects, educates and empowers children to rise above the impacts of poverty, war and disease, by harnessing the power of play. They reach 2.3-million children each year in some of the most difficult and dangerous places on earth, helping them to stay in school and graduate, resist exploitation, overcome prejudice, prevent disease and heal from the trauma of war.

HIS THOUGHTS ON SERGE IBAKA'S SCARVES

Last week, Pascal's teammate Serge Ibaka broke the Internet by rocking a giant scarf. Then, when his team broke the record for most consecutive wins by a Canadian team, he went a step further and got massive scarves for the whole team. Spicy P weighed in, joking that maybe...just maybe...those scarves jinxed the team and broke their streak. Probably not, but hey—you never know! Want to hear more from Spicy P?
