It’s a new week of Love Island (Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) which means it’s time to shake things up in the form of six new eligible Islanders. The three new girls and three new boys have come ashore just in time, with things in the villa getting a little slow (particularly for our three singles).
Before the new Islanders arrived, Kyra decided that it was time to put Cashel in the friendzone. While we respect her for making the decision before hooking up with another guy, we also feel like she maaaybe should have waited to see whether she vibed with the next guy in Birkenstocks before dropping the current one. Kyra enjoyed 12 hours of singledom before regretting her decision, with Cashel’s status dependent on whether he can make Kyra jealous with any of the new girls. So far, he’s still drumming solo.
THE GIRLFRIEND ZONE
Zac is very, very young. The good part about Zac being young is that he does fun, sweet things like plan a scavenger hunt for Elizabeth, which culminated in Zac asking her to be his girlfriend after helping her reach her 10,000 steps for the day. The drawback of him being young and naive is that he thinks it’s fine to tell the new girls that he’s still “open to talking.” He’s about to be open to finding a new girlfriend. Winston knew it was a dumb move. Yamen tried to tell him it was a dumb move. We knew it was a dumb move. And Elizabeth’s face was the final confirmation that it was a dumb move. Oh, Zac. So cute. So very, very young.
Six new Islanders means all bets are off for couples, including endgame Zac and Elizabeth. Dylan (who moments earlier said he was happy with Alexandra) also said that he was opening to talking and if watching Dylan jump in slow motion for the last week has taught us anything, it’s that he’s not ready to settle down. And he’s the human version of a golden retriever.
THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
Caro and her baby voice may have found her new boo with Canadian Eric, who we will obviously only refer to as Canadian Eric, and Weston may be moving on from Katrina with new girl Kelsey. We’re pretty sure that’s what happened. We brushing up on The Secret because apparently everyone is reading this book and rating their interactions based on the “Laws of Attraction.”
How are we in Week 3 of Love Island and Yamen and Aissata are the first Islanders to compare astrology signs? No wonder there haven’t been many love connections.
THAT AWKWARD MOMENT
Six grown men have a villa all to themselves and decide to spend the afternoon stacking their bodies on top of one another Jenga-style to do push-ups, but Cashel and Kyra didn’t have time to talk about the stars? Nah uh.
WHO WE’RE SHIPPING
Kelsey. Is. Coming. For. Weston. Someone give our girl Katrina a hug.
So, like, where’s everyone sleeping tonight?
