Drake has a unique talent for making himself the subject of internet memes, and it looks like he’s done it yet again.
Over the weekend, Drizzy unveiled the cover of his upcoming album Views From The 6, and we think it’s safe to say the folks in Toronto will be pleased with it:

As per usual, the rapper included a shoutout to his favourite city. But when people first saw the image online, they couldn’t help but wonder if Drake actually sat on the edge of the CN Tower, or if it was the result of some careful Photoshopping. After all, the iconic building features the Edge Walk, which allows visitors to shimmy their way around the outside of the tower. So why not slap a harness on the rapper to get the cover shot of the century? A lot of people were certainly talking about it:
YO THIS MAN DRAKE REALLY SAT ON TOP OF THE CN TOWER FOR HIS ALBUM COVER 🐐 https://t.co/QisQ5sjx4v

Really wondering if drake sat on the CN tower lol.

Now that Drake has sat on top of the Cn tower for his album cover, I must beat him by sitting on top of Mount Everest for my album cover.

Well, it turns out Drake didn’t actually sit up there. Through the magic of math, the internet was able to debunk that theory. We’ll save you the trouble of crunching the numbers yourself:
The CN Tower’s official Twitter account was also quick to note Photoshop was behind the image, and wasn’t exactly subtle about it either:

Once people clued in, they started having a little fun with Drake’s album cover by doing some editing of their own. And once again, Drake found himself being plastered in memes all over the internet:

Maybe next time Drake will just take a selfie from the Edge Walk platform.
