'Dream Gap Tour' hoping to inspire next generation of female hockey stars

North America’s female Olympic hockey stars are among nearly 200 professional players participating in an exhibition “Dream Gap Tour” to draw attention to the fact that there is not a professional league consistently showcasing the best women’s hockey in the world. Stopping by Your Morning to shed some light on the tournament that aims to set up a framework for an economically sustainable women's professional league, players Brianne Jenner and Sarah Nurse want young players to be able to dream of a truly viable future in hockey.By uniting major stakeholders like the NHL, USA Hockey and Hockey Canada, the 'Dream Gap Tour' will see four teams of the Professional Women's Hockey Player Association (PWHPA) face off in a round-robin tournament, as well as community outreach events, clinics and a VIP Kickoff Party.
