Silicon Valley is full of venture capitalist-funded tech firms and dashed dreams, and it even serves as the inspiration for HBO Canada’s Silicon Valley. Now the birthplace of Hewlett-Packard is getting a, um, fashion week.
Organized by Betabrand and Shimmer, the event promises a bourbon bar, and “a catwalk with drones, robots and mad inventions.” Yes, drones. Chris Lindland, CEO of Betabrand tells Style.com, “It’s not a novelty. The clothing kind of flutters and dances in the wind and does things humans can’t. I’m not kidding, the clothing enchants you.”

In addition to technicolour drones hovering with reflective jumpsuits, the event hopes to inspire the California community. It plans to do that by focusing on wearables (like the Apple watch), light-up clothes for festival-goers and some surprises.
