Nearly a week after returning from her trip to New York City, the Duchess of Cambridge was right back at it and visited with a group of Beaver Scouts. No biggie. Kate worked as a volunteer for the Scout Association when she and Prince William lived in Anglesey, North Wales, and looked delighted to be helping children at the 23rd Poplar Beaver Scout Colony earn new badges.
And not only did she look delighted but Kate kept it super-casual too. The Duchess wore black skinny J-Brand (maternity?) jeans, black boots and a U.K. Scouting hoodie. WHAT?
Don’t get us wrong, her outfit was absolutely perfect for the situation, which had the kids getting down and dirty as they all took turns icing a cake while blindfolded, cutting up a chocolate bar while wearing boxing gloves and using chopsticks to pick up said chocolate bars (all to simulate what those with mobility or coordination problems deal with every day).
But back to the fashion. Has Kate ever worn a hoodie, at least in public? We’ve seen her in fleece pullovers, golf shirts and warm-up jackets (during the Olympics and Paralympics) but never a hoodie or sweatshirt. They just seem too…basic for the Duchess. But it’s just one more thing that makes Catherine (and Will) that much more relaxed and relatable. Love!
(Psst… we’re not just envious of this look, we’re envious of every look. Watch and see what we mean:)
