If you thought Kim Kardashian was the ultimate selfie master, think again. The smartphone self-portrait bar has officially been lifted by some pretty stiff competition.
Over the weekend, Ballers star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took his throne as the “Selfie King” when he broke the Guinness World Record for the most selfies taken in three minutes.
During the red carpet at the world premiere of his new movie San Andreas at London’s Odeon Leicester Square, The Rock snapped 105 selfies in under three minutes to set a new record with the help of some excited fans and his trusty iPhone.
Johnson ended up taking far more photos than 105 selfies, but the extra pics were too blurry and cut off to meet Guinness’ quality standards. They have to be clear people!
Some highlights from The Rock’s record breaking selfie roll included everyone’s favourite action star in some “dramatic” and “creative poses” like these below:
The old phone in front of face technique adds real variety!
This one’s really special. Smile!
And here Johnson throws in some extra-creative posing to really bring the record home.
But this is, by far, our fave.
Ok, ok, even if Johnson didn’t push the creative envelope or incorporate fun props into the shots, we still love him and respect his sweet, record setting selfie skills.
Don’t forget to catch Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the series premiere of Ballers on June 21 at 10PM ET on HBO Canada.
