Social media can’t get enough of the hilarious royal wedding plate that replaces Prince Harry with British musician Ed Sheeran.

Royal fans spotted the unusual pairing of Meghan Markle beside the Perfect singer after discovering the royal wedding commemorative plate on Etsy.

While the Prince and popstar both sport ginger-hued hair, the resemblance ends there and many assumed it was an honest, albeit ridiculous, mistake.

The Etsy account describes the item as follows:

“Celebrate THE wedding of the year with this beautiful china plate featuring the portraits of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Whether you choose to eat your toast and Marmite (Harry’s favourite snack*) from, or hang it on your wall, this plate won’t fail to raise a smile and evoke pride in our country’s most cherished couple. * I made that bit up.”

Many took to social media to call out the swap, including former chef to the Royal Family-- Darren McGrady-- who tweeted “Loving all the #PrinceHarry and #MeghanMarkle #RoyalWedding2018 memorabilia. Just think some companies should do a little more research first.”

The Etsy store selling the questionable plate is called ModernChintz and its seller, Lucy Bryant, is saying the aesthetic is “entirely deliberate.”

Daily Mail reported Bryants comments, who also detailed a funny royal memory of her own.

“I bought a Kate/Wills mug when they got married and when it arrived, it was a pic of Harry instead of William,” she said, adding that it inspired her to create a similar switch-up. “When I was thinking of a random redhead, I thought Ed would be perfect. It's been pretty popular!'

Indeed it has been, gaining plenty of online attention with social media call-outs and completely selling out!

The hilarious keepsake will cost you a cool £25 plus international shipping. Be sure to get your pre-order in now as the site mentions there’s an “unprecedented demand,” which means it may take up to a month for your Sheeran-Markle mash-up dish to arrive.
