We all have dreams. Some may be stranger than others, but we all have hobbies that we love nonetheless. Prepare to be inspired to follow your dreams by the man who quit his job to create balloon animals. Well, animals and people and costumes and other amazing things.

Glen LaValley, who’s 54 years old, has a degree in commerce. He worked in the IT department at a bank in Edmonton. Recently, Glen gave up the banking game to pursue his true passion: making balloon creatures.

Like this charming leprechaun.

Glen’s love for balloons started about 15 years ago when he bought a bag of ‘twisting’ balloons to try to entertain his family. He was terrible at it; but Glen thought it was fun, and kept working. After that, he kept making balloon art. Other people quickly noticed how fantastic his art was and started booking him for parties and events–which is why Glen decided to quit his job.

We mean just look at this lobster! Clearly, he was born to make amazing balloon creations. Glen’s creations are so crazy you can actually wear some of them! He’s so good at making them that he’s won awards, including first place and the people’s choice award at the International Twist and Shout 2014 and 2015 conventions.

Glen’s even used the hype around Pokemon Go to create a Blastoise and a Charizard! Can we get a Pikachu?

Plus, how cool is this 80th birthday balloon statue? We want one of ourselves!

These creations seriously make us happy, and as Glen said: “You never see a grumpy person with a balloon. It just doesn’t happen.” Words to live by.
